Fundraising Consultant Position

Job Posting: Begins April 1, open until filled
Hours: 10-12 Hours per month
Rate: $40-$60 per hour depending on experience


Qualifications:

  • Require prior experience with nonprofit organizations and working with a board of directors, fundraising appeals and events, grant writing skills for educational and facility improvement projects.
  • Writing and editing experience desired.
  • Computer skills in donor management software desirable. Independent contractor basis.
  • Provide own office equipment and software.

The Springfield Public Library Foundation seeks an independent fundraising
consultant to assist with raising funds from individuals and households via direct mail for
annual fundraising goals, writing grants, conducting special events, assisting with
securing sponsorships for Books and Brew fundraiser, writing and editing annual Thank
You postcard, and assisting with committee and business operations. The position
requires 10-12 hours per month, attending in person or virtual board meetings.
The Springfield Public Library Foundation supports the programs, services, and facilities
of the Springfield Public Library and History Museum serving 64,000 people in
Springfield and rural east Lane County. The Foundation has a board who advises on
policy, finances and supports fundraising and special event projects. There is a part-
time administrative assistant who helps manage Foundation business and bookkeeping.
Foundation uses Little Green Light software for gift records, mass email, donor
acknowledgement, fundraising appeals and special events, and online gifts and
sponsorships.
